Mother's Day dining at Westward Look Resort

Tucson, AZ (4/27/09) - This Mother's Day, show thanks to Mom with a special Sunday at Westward Look Resort. Brighten Mom's day by treating her to a delicious breakfast or brunch at Tucson's most treasured resort property. Choose from three tempting offerings to make Mother's Day simply the best!

Before heading to your meal, stop by the Vigas patio area for complimentary family photos from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Catalina Ballroom will be offering a Mother's Day breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for those who want an early start to the holiday. Fill your plate with fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, cereals, scrambled eggs, French toast, potatoes, bacon and sausage. Beverages include coffee, tea and orange juice. The cost is $15 per person.

GOLD will be offering a three-course plated brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a scrumptious selection for the entire family. Start with a glass of sparkling wine while you enjoy your choice of pork and foie gras rillette, bay scallop ceviche, Cuban black bean soup or wild and gathered greens for the first course. Entrées include eggs Nova Scotia, hazelnut crusted Alaskan halibut, molasses cured pork tenderloin, golden apple stuffed breast of chicken, and grilled marinated Angus filet mignon. A dessert petite trio includes blueberry custard tartlette, dark chocolate and caramel adoration and toasted pecan torte. The cost is $49 per person.

The Sonoran Ballroom will be serving a delicious brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Start with a glass of sparkling wine and then enjoy a bountiful display of appetizers including potato leek soup, smoked salmon, domestic and imported cheese, salads, grilled vegetables, and seafood on ice. Entrées include eggs Benedict, ricotta cheese blintz, grilled chicken breast, roasted salmon, three-cheese tortellini and spring vegetable mélange. A "made to order" omelette and carving station will also be available, along with an assortment of desserts. The cost is $47 per person.

Mother's Day entertainment includes Grupo Sonido from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in GOLD. Grupo Sonido's music is a unique combination of exotica and Latin jazz, or "Latin lounge." In addition, the Sonoran Ballroom will feature Rob Resetar from 11 am to 3 pm. Guests will enjoy his performance of piano with bass.
