Game. Set. Match.

CourtThink and Vic Braden Tennis College come to Westward Look Resort

Tucson, Arizona – Tennis is the sport that never grows old – a love for the game lasts a lifetime. With eight courts nestled at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, Westward Look Resort presents the perfect setting to improve your tennis game. Coming this spring, Westward Look Resort invites tennis players to take their game to the next level. One of the world’s finest tennis teaching organizations, CourtThink, is coming to the resort.

CourtThink manages the Vic Braden Tennis College, one of the highest ranked adult tennis camps in the Western United States. CourtThink will run three weeks of high performance tennis camps in March through May on the beautifully maintained courts at the Westward Look Resort.

Each individual tennis camp offers three days of instruction and training. There are six sessions to choose from: March 2 - 4; March 5 - 7; March 23 - 25; March 26 - 28; April 27 - 29; and April 30 - May 2

Whether players are beginners, league players, or enthusiasts, the Vic Braden Tennis College combined with CourtThink’s teaching prowess is the fastest way to game improvement. The education is built around video analysis of individual strokes, using Dartfish technology. This software is used by the U.S. Olympic Team as well as many other professional sports teams.

CourtThink will bring this state-of-the-art Dartfish technology to its tennis program at Westwad Look Resort. Dartfish technology helps turn tennis lessons into a visual learning process, resulting in much-improved topspin groundstrokes and a more consistent and powerful serve. Many students have acquired a 10 to 30 mph gain on their serve throughout the training process.

CourtThink will join forces with Tom Lepisto, Westward Look Resort’s Director of Tennis. Lepisto has been the director of tennis since 2004 after previously honing the skills of juniors and adults in the greater Phoenix area for 15 years. During these spring camps, the newly joint tennis teaching force plans to help students implement tennis strategy through designed drills and match play. There is no better practice than real match play experience.

In addition to the world-class tennis instruction, Westward Look Resort abounds in luxury amenities. A long-standing resort and vacation venue in Tucson, the Westward Look Resort holds the title of Tucson’s very first resort. Having recently unveiled a multimillion-dollar renovation, the resort offers a completely redesigned lobby, suite-sized guest rooms, outdoor areas, meeting spaces, and restaurants, including the all-new GOLD. The resort is also home to the much admired, desert-inspired Sonoran Spa.

From resort heritage to tennis heritage, the legacy is open to newcomers. Vic Braden managed the professional tennis tour as it was first getting started. Since then Braden has had many successful players and coaches as protégés. TennisResortsOnline.com rated the Vic Braden Tennis College the #5 camp in the world; CourtThink is thrilled to bring this successful program to The Westward Look.

"The Vic Braden tennis college is the best camp for adults. Nobody teaches technique like Vic and his team. It is the only place where you can improve your game at least 20 percent in just three days. I have been to over 10 different camps and by far Vic's college is the best!" (S.K, Adv., Sept. 2008).

CourtThink manages tennis operations in St. George, Utah at the Vic Braden Tennis College; Las Vegas, Nevada at the Red Rock Country Club and is now teaming up with Tom Lepisto, Director of Tennis at the Westward Look Resort in Tucson, Arizona.

The Westward Look Resort is located at 245 E. Ina Road, Tucson, Arizona 85704.
