Chef's Garden

Our chefs regularly harvest fresh foods throughout the 80 acres at Westward Look Resort. In addition to native cactus and mesquite, there are more than 20 species of fruit trees, numerous herbs and the bounty of the Chef's Garden. Edible flowers are also cultivated. Every Saturday morning, guests are invited to meet our Executive Chef in the Chef's Garden and learn how he preserves the fresh-picked flavor, color and texture in his popular menus.

For a more in-depth look at our Chef's Garden harvest, join Executive Chef James Wallace every month for "Cooking with the Chef." You will experience the beauty and awe of Sonoran Desert plant life at the resort, while also seeing first hand the luscious produce freshly grown in our onsite Chef's garden. Learn how to pick the ripest ingredients... then take your harvest inside for a cooking class and demonstration. Each class will focus on a different skill, from grilling and a tutorial on how to grill meat and veggies to perfection, to learning how to make the perfect marinade, master cooking techniques, cooking theology and more!
