Tinaja Desert Gallery
This little treasure is located upstairs in the original family homestead that is the heart of Westward Look Resort. Developed by a naturalist, this is a delightful micro-view of the Sonoran desert and its inhabitants.
Examine colorful minerals, dried gourds and other artifacts of the region, including ancient sandals and tools of Native Americans. See the natural fibers used to create the color and texture in highly prized baskets. Touch a snakeskin or a saguaro boot. Discover the connection between Westward Look, Santa Claus and Coca-Cola. Then step outside on the rooftop patio and enjoy views of the four mountain ranges surrounding Tucson.
